The Denver Broncos have announced they have signed running back LenDale White and waived running back Kolby Smith. Terms of White's contract were not disclosed.
White played his first four season with the Tennessee Titans and has rushed for 2,349 yards on 628 carries with 24 touchdowns. He also has 42 career receptions for 204 yards.
He was drafted by the Titans in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft.
The initial thought here is to have concern for the Moreno injury, but the Broncos are cutting ties with Kolby Smith and bringing in a guy who wont be available the first four games of the season. So this move is actually giving them less RB depth. We don't expect White to offer any fantasy value this season, and could very likely be cut before serving his 4 game suspension to start the season. This move says more about how little the Broncos think of Kolby Smith than anything else.
