Some impressions from beat writer Kent Somers
-- I'm no football guru, and I don't have a degree in counseling, but it appears to me that Matt Leinart is playing tentatively, afraid to make a mistake. I think he's been late on some throws because of that, and it's led to him taking the check-down options more than he should.
It seems to me he needs to loosen up and play with a more swashbuckling attitude. There's a fine line between confident and cautious. As always, it's possible I'm completely off base. Just one opinion.
