Jets HC Robert Saleh told reporters Friday that RB Tevin Coleman (hamstring) and WR Corey Davis (hip) will play Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills.

This could be bad news for fringe Jets players but an overall plus for the offense against one of the best defenses in football.

Both RB Tevin Coleman and WR Corey Davis are expected back for the Jets this week, Robert Saleh said.

Davis should be a welcomed addition back at WR for whoever is under center. Davis has been out since Week 7 with a hip injury. Meanwhile, Coleman could take away snaps from Carter and Johnson to further crowd the backfield. The Jets host the Bills in a tough matchup this week so neither RB will be a solid fantasy option.

After a late-week injury ahead of Week 7, Coleman will now miss his second consecutive game.

The Jets listed Tevin Coleman as the team's RB1 for Week 1.

Perine and Johnson were both listed as second on the depth chart leaving the rookie Carter buried. That had been the trend in preseason games with Carter only getting in those game late. Carter will need to make a sharp and quick climb in order to have value in typical redraft leagues. Until then, it may be hard to devote a roster spot to him.

Lots of people talking about Michael Carter, but Tevin Coleman is having a really good camp, too.

Hughes said Coleman is still really fast and on Monday took a screen to the house outrunning the entire defense up the right sideline. While Carter is the hot name and a rookie, and having a good camp as well, signs have indicated this could be more of a split at RB for the Jets this season. However, we rank Carter at 25th among our RBs, which is well ahead of Coleman's rank of 60th. We think Carter is the back to own here.

I see Michael Carter as RB1, Ty Johnson & Tevin Coleman as RB2, and Coleman as 3rd down/pass catching back.

Glaser doesn't see any Jet back going over 1,000 yards rushing, but the trio could hit 1,500 yards rushing in his opinion. The rookie Carter is known for his receiving skills, too, so there's a chance he could have a bigger role as the season goes on, however pass protection is always a concern for a young RB.
