The Kansas City Chiefs' run defense is ranked 27th in the league and they are allowing 105.2 rushing yards per game—ninth-most in the league. They are only one of 10 teams allowing 100+ rushing yards per game. It seems as if Derrick Johnson and company know what ails them and are looking to fix the issue.
“We weren’t, like, physically getting handled –– we were just out of place,” said Dee Ford. “You saw the holes. That makes you sick.”
The holes may make the Chiefs defenders sick, but not fantasy owners of Lamar Miller and LeVeon Bell, who have gashed the Chiefs defense for 74 and 179 rushing yards, respectively, the last two games. While it might seem like a good matchup on paper for Raiders backs tonight versus the Chiefs, our aFPA metric has this as the seventh-toughest matchup for RBs. We have Marshawn Lynch, Jalen Richard, and DeAndre Washington all ranked as RB2 or lower options. Lynch is our highest ranked Raiders RB of the week (RB24 in standard leagues, RB30 in PPR).
