Colts QB Sam Ehlinger to start Week 8

Colts head coach Frank Reich said QB Sam Ehlinger will start vs. Washington as Matt Ryan recovers from a Grade 2 shoulder sprain. Nick Foles will operate as the backup quarterback.

Fantasy Impact:

Though we would typically see this as a downgrade for the fantasy pieces in Indianapolis, it honestly doesn't get much worse than a Matt Ryan who can't push the ball down the field. It's very possible that Ehlinger will remain the starter for the immediate future.

Fantasy Impact:

This puts Schoonmaker more or less in TE streaming consideration, but there are far better options this week, which puts him low on the totem pole.

Eagles WR DeVonta Smith officially Out for Week 12

Eagles ruled out WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) for Sunday against the Rams.

Fantasy Impact:

It's a bit of a crapshoot as to who the "WR2" on the offense will be, but now that he's ruled out, Brown and Goedert should get a nice boost to their bottom line. That would lock Goedert into a no-doubt TE1 role in Week 12.
