Bucs RB Doug Martin suffered a torn labrum yesterday against the Falcons, and is out for the year.
Reports have been all over the place since last night, but more and more are saying the worst for Martin. Bucs coach Greg Schiano, however, said he doesn't believe the injury is season-ending, but refused to give a timetable for Martain's return. Any missed time is bad news for the Bucs and Martin owners, who likely spent a very early pick in this year's drafts. Martin was only averaging 3.6 yards a carry this season, putting the Bucs 20th in the league in rushing yards. To make things worse, it's a quick turnaround in Week 8 for a Thursday night game hosting the Panthers. Brian Leonard and Mike James will likely get work, but there are some tough matchups the next few weeks that will limit their values.
