Bears are giving former Chargers TE Gerald Everett a 2-year, $12 million base value deal with a max value up to $14 million that includes $6.1 million Fully Guaranteed.

This signing absolutely muddies the water for Kmet's fantasy outlook, but is a great addition for their eventual rookie quarterback and the offense as a whole. With the influx of talent at the tight end position, there's no reason to target Everett or Kmet in typical 1TE redraft leagues this summer, though either one should remain on best ball radars.

TE Gerald Everett was not practicing today. His injury designation will be changed from back to chest on today's report after further evaluation.

If Everett were to miss, it would be a huge boon for Parham's touchdown equity, but there is a cap on his target share, particularly if Keenan Allen is good to go for Week 11. Parham has four touchdowns on the season, but has only been targeted more than four times on only two occurrences over the last two seasons. He could be considered a desperation streamer sans Everett.

He’s day to day with the hamstring injury. The tweet went on to say it's unclear right now if he will be back at practice this week, and his status for Week 5 is obviously up in the air. With Allen out last week, it was Williams, Everett and Ekeler who stepped up in the passing game. Everett and Ekeler had TD catches and Williams had a line of 7-120-0.

In a barren tight end landscape, it's been nice to see Everett accrue 16 targets over the last two weeks, and he is ranked as a TE1 with Allen missing another game. Mike Williams is a high-upside WR2 for Week 4, with Josh Palmer becoming a desperation Flex play.

The Bolts Week 3 game is Sept. 25 against the Jaguars, two full weeks after the injury and the hope is there is a chance Allen will be ready to go for that contest. Allen led the way with a 4-66-0 line but Williams was pretty much a no-show. Carter posted a 3-64-1 line and Everett a 3-54-1 line. Palmer had three catches for just five years.

The Chargers did not have a proven tight end on their roster with Jared Cook a free agent. Everett is good enough to run as the lead tight end but should also see Parham and McKitty get enough work to make Everett more of a TE2.
