HC Adam Gase says Darnold is focused on playing the next game. That game will come in Week 11 at the Chargers as the Jets have a bye in Week 10. The Jets WRs are now back, but it's probably best to at least wait a week to see what Darnold can do with some weapons around him before plugging him into lineups in typical leagues.

The Jets have ruled QB Sam Darnold out of Sunday's game with a shoulder injury. Joe Flacco will start in his place.

Darnold injured his shoulder during Week 4 but returned to finish the game. There is little reason to push the young quarterback in what is already a lost season for the Jets. Joe Flacco will take over the starting job, meaning the Jets offense should continue to struggle given his lack of mobility behind New York's rough offensive line. Starting any Jet in fantasy is a risky proposition.

Smarter to give him more time to rest/heal separated shoulder Mehta went on to say. If Darnold does sit out this week, Flacco will get the start in Week 5. Looks like the goal is to get Darnold back on the field for Week 6.
