The New England Patriots have re-signed Nick Folk on Monday after hosting him for a visit this weekend.

Folk, 35, becomes the second kicker on the Patriots' roster after New England selected Marshall's Justin Rohrwasser in the fifth round of the draft.

Folk kicked in seven games for the Patriots last season as the team was forced to look for a replacement for Stephen Gostkowski, who had a hip injury that landed him on injured reserve. Folk was 16-of-19 on field goals and 13-of-13 on extra points.

The story added: Rohrwasser has barely kicked in practices attended by reporters. Rohrwasser was 3-of-5 on field goals at the end of a practice Monday but has mostly rode the exercise bike since, which could be an indication he is managing an undisclosed injury.

Folk missed Week 13 after undergoing an appendectomy, which led to the Patriots signing Kai Forbath. Folk is good to go after the Patriots had already cut Forbath.

The Patriots are signing free agent K Nick Folk, source said. Most recently, he held the AAF record for longest field goal at 55 yards. He’s also played for the Bucs, Jets and Cowboys.

Folk will replace Mike Nugent.

The Bucs new kicker is Patrick Murray, who has played for the Saints and Browns.

Folk missed three more field goals this week against the Patriots. Ideally, the Bucs kicker should have fantasy value, given the talent of the offense and the ability to move the ball.

The NFL officially postponed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Miami Dolphins tilt until Week 11.

With Hurricane Irma gaining steam as it moves toward South Florida, the league announced the matchup will be moved from Sunday to Sunday, Nov. 19. Both the Bucs and Dolphins had a bye in Week 11.

The news means that Miami and Tampa will play 16 straight games to close out the season.

Setting aside the danger of a Category 5 hurricane barreling down on Florida, the fantasy ramifications of the move to Week 11 are significant. Owners counting on any of the Bucs or Dolphins to play in Week 1 are going to have to look elsewhere. These issues show up most often in "onesie" positions like quarterback, tight end, kicker or defense, where owners oftentimes don't have other options available on the bench. Jameis Winston owners could pick up Carson Palmer, Sam Bradford, Carson Wentz or another quarterback with a good matchup to start Week 1. In addition, Doug Martin won't start his suspension until Week 2 and is therefore not eligible to return until Week 5. It's our opinion that owners with these types of issues who play in leagues without waivers/free agency prior to Week 1 should be allowed to make one waiver move per issue to pick up a replacement quarterback, tight end, defense or kicker. This should not be used as a way to pick up a hot running back or receiver prospect, but instead to ensure fairness in what is a very out-of-the-blue situation.

The frisky New York Jets don't plan to battle Rex Ryan's Buffalo Bills without a kicker on Thursday night.

Gang Green signed former Texans leg Randy Bullock to replace Nick Folk, who bowed out of Sunday's win over the Jaguars with a right quadriceps strain. The Jets placed Folk in injured reserve in a corresponding move.

Bullock has been shaky in his career, including early this year with the Texans, although there's some fantasy potential as the Jets offense can move the ball.

The Jets have a short week to prepare for Thursday night’s game against the Bills and it looks like they’ll have to spend some of their limited time finding a kicker to fill in for Nick Folk.

Folk was active for Sunday’s victory over the Jaguars, but was limited to holding for punter Ryan Quigley due to a quad injury suffered in pregame warmups. Folk said after the game that he felt a “little pop” while getting ready for the game and Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the diagnosis is a Grade 1 quad strain.

As a result of the injury, Folk isn’t expected to play in this week’s game. That likely means that the Jets will be hosting a meeting of the unemployed kicker caravan that was in high demand earlier this season thanks to a slew of misses around the league, the story said.
