Giants Sign DE Jason Pierre-Paul

All the negotiating is over. It's time for football.

DE Jason Pierre-Paul, the Giants' last remaining unsigned draft pick, is unsigned no more. He inked a five-year deal worth a little more than $20 million, a league source confirmed. He is expected to be on the field when the Giants open training camp with a conditioning test at 10 a.m. Sunday.

With second-round DT Linval Joseph signed earlier Saturday, and with the addition of veteran safety John Busing, the Giants now are at the 80-man roster limit.

Pierre-Paul's deal, according to a report, is worth $20,050,000, including $11,629,807 guaranteed. That's right in line with the first-round slotting for a player taken with the 15th overall pick of the NFL draft.

Fantasy Impact:

The Giants love to have depth on the defensive line, and Pierre-Paul certainly helps provide that. But with Justin Tuck, Mathias Kiwanuka, and Osi Umenyiora ahead of him in the rotation, Pierre-Paul is not likely to make much of an IDP impact in 2010.
