The Lions official Week 10 injury report lists Darius Slay as out.
We don't normally do news updates on defensive backs, but this one is notable for the potential impact it could have on their Week 10 opponent, the Bears. Chicago's passing game hasn't been great in recent weeks. That could be traced, at least in part, to Allen Robinson playing injured then missing two games. They get Robinson back this weekend in what just turned in to a solid matchup. Pro Football Focus' player grades have Slay as the 44th ranked corner this year. The next highest Lion is Nevin Lawson at 120th. Other options include Lenzy Pipkins (127th), DeShawn Shead (166th) and Teez Tabor (186th). We'd still rank Robinson conservatively, but there is potential for the Bears to have a better than expected game through the air.
