According to JP Finlay on Twitter, Washington star wide receiver Terry McLaurin returned to practice on Thursday.

It appears that McLaurin was given a rest day on Wednesday after a busy afternoon against the Baltimore Ravens physical defense in Week 4. The bigger concern here is McLaurin's chemistry with quarterback Kyle Allen for Week 5. Haskins and McLaurin played together at Ohio State, with Haskins personally lobbying for the wideout. They have developed a solid on-field rapport on both levels and surprised many by being able to post a 10 reception line on 14 targets against the best cornerback trio in the NFL. McLaurin is our 12th ranked receiver for Week 5.

McLaurin was listed on the Washington injury report with the same issue last week and ultimately played on Sunday. It looks like Washington may just be giving McLaurin some time off from practice to rest a sore quad. Monitor his status throughout the week, but at this point we would expect McLaurin to suit up for Week 5.

The WFT is already in trouble against the potent Ravens offense, and losing their star receiver for the week would all but put the nail in their coffin for the week.

Not a good sign for McLaurin after getting hurt at practice Thursday. He appears to be a true questionable decision for Sunday's game against the Ravens.

According to Matthew Paras on Twitter, Washington Football Team star wide receiver Terry McLaurin was limited in Thursday's practice.

This is a new injury for McLaurin as far as his being listed on the injury report is concerned. He was able to log a limited practice, but this remains a situation to monitor ahead of the final injury report on Friday. The expectation is that he will be able to play on Sunday. McLaurin is currently our ninth ranked wide receiver for Week 4 against Baltimore.

"Last year, [Dwayne Haskins] didn't quite have the same confidence that he does now, and people can feel that. He'd be the first one to tell you that," WR Terry McLaurin said.

In 2020, that's no longer the case.

"Now, it's completely different. You can hear him clearly and concisely," McLaurin said. "He knows what he's looking for and he knows what he's looking at. I feel like that helps everyone else's game as well."

Smith was just cleared to practice so Haskins is competing with Smith and Allen for the starting job. With Smith coming off a major leg injury and Haskins the team's 15th-overall pick a year ago, Haskins is probably the favorite. He's also been challenged to come out and win the job by the team.
