The Bears are going to be “smart” with rookie wide receiver Anthony Miller, coach Matt Nagy said Monday, after Miller left Sunday’s victory in Arizona with what Nagy termed a dislocated left shoulder.

Miller left the game twice and after the second time did not return. Miller missed his 2014 season at Memphis with shoulder issues, a torn labrum in his right and a minor injury in his left. The team says Miller is day to day.

Bears second-round pick Anthony Miller is forging his place as the first-string slot receiver. He has been everything he was advertised to be coming out of Memphis: A quality route runner, strong hands catching the ball, competitive at the catch point, and, yes, overflowing with flair and confidence.

The story said Bear coaches continue to push him to master the many details of playing receiver in the scheme, including option routes and pre-snap alignments.

Bears WR Anthony Miller is part of the offseason's offensive overhaul centered around providing Mitch Trubisky with explosive weapons heading into his second season as the team's starting quarterback. Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel, and Miller will combine with a healthy Kevin White to give the Bears a formidable receiving corps capped off by tight end Trey Burton, one of GM Ryan Pace's big free-agent buys.

Miller knows any success he has will depend on the chemistry he builds with Trubisky, not only this season, but for years to come.

Miller is currently looking to build chemistry with Trubisky. So far, he said it's been going great and the two see and talk to one another every day. Miller is our No. 62 ranked WR and can be had in the later rounds of drafts.
