Tully Banta-Cain, who led the Patriots in sacks last season, revealed he had offseason shoulder surgery, but says he'll be good to go for upcoming organized team activities as well as mini-camp.
"I’m finally back doing everything with the team, all the workouts,” Banta-Cain said. ”It was a minor surgery. It was nothing major.”
In IDP leagues where sacks are worth big points, Banta-Cain can certainly help fantasy teams. He's more of an overachiever than a dominant pass rusher, and because of that he's probably likely to be drafted after other players who are bigger names. Given that, he could be a nice bargain as he's the most experienced of New England's linebackers and a relatively decent bet to lead the Patriots in sacks for the second season in a row.
