Tight end David Njoku is eligible to come off of injured reserve after missing three games with a knee injury.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski indicated that the team would have him back on the practice field Wednesday, the story said. The story added Njoku caught three passes for 50 yards and a touchdown in the season-opening loss to the Ravens. Hooper and Hunter Bryant have combined to catch 16 passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns in three games without Njoku.

Browns tight end David Njoku will miss at least three weeks with the knee injury he suffered on Sunday against the Ravens.

Njoku has been placed on injured reserve, which under the special rules for 2020 means he has to miss at least three weeks. The Browns have not announced the severity of Njoku’s injury.

David Njoku was forced out of Sunday's game against the Ravens with a knee injury, Andrew Gribble of the Browns' official site reports.

Prior to his exit, Njoku hauled in all three of his targets for 50 yards and a TD. Added tight end snaps behind Hooper are now available for Harrison Bryant and Stephen Carlson if the injury is serious. Hooper had a line of just 2-15-0 in Week 1.

Browns’ TE David Njoku has had “some good meetings with the new Browns’ organization including GM Andrew Berry and he has decided to give the team his full commitment right now and go from there,” said his agent, Drew Rosenhaus.

Njoku requested a trade earlier this summer after the team signed Hooper to a big deal. Njoku staying in Cleveland won't help his fantasy owners as he'll play behind Hooper.

My understanding is TE David Njoku remains a big part of the Browns plans, going back to the winter and the transition in the organization.

Njoku has wanted out of Cleveland for a while, according to reports, perhaps even more now with the Hooper signing. Anderson said the Browns believe Njoku can still have a great year for the team. Anderson added in the tweet the Bears are monitoring the situation.

Browns’ TE David Njoku and his agent Drew Rosenhaus asked today for the team to trade him. The Browns told Njoku they would like to keep him, but Rosenhaus told them he’s intent on a trade. They want a trade before training camp.

David Njoku is obviously unhappy with the addition of Austin Hooper to the roster for 2020, and is looking for a team to be their TE1. Keep an eye on this situation as it could certainly have an effect on his current 20th round ADP. Njoku has 1,066 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in his three-year career with the Browns.
