Sources confirm Browns TE David Njoku seeking second opinion on right wrist/hand after sustaining injury Monday night that could cost him significant time. Browns will wait on results before making any roster decisions.

The last we heard was that David Njoku missed practice on Wednesday due to a concussion, but if Anthony Lima's report is true, he could be in store for a longer absence. Lima is a radio personality in Cleveland, so there is some room for skepticism, but he was retweeted by Daryl Ruiter, the Browns beat reporter for 923 The Fan and someone who is trusted as a source of Browns' information.

Browns coach Freddie Kitchens said TE David Njoku (concussion), LB Chris Kirksey, RT Chris Hubbard, S Morgan Burnett won't practice Wednesday.

After suffering a concussion on Monday night, Njoku will have trouble getting cleared for Sunday night against the Rams. Demetrius Harris would likely take Njoku's place, but Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, and Nick Chubb would see a small bump as well.

The Browns will play the rest of Monday night’s game without tight end David Njoku.

He left for the locker room in the first quarter to be evaluated for a concussion. The Browns have ruled him out.

Njoku was upended, landing on his head. That was his only target, an incompletion. Harris looks to be next up on the depth chart. Owners will want to monitor his status heading into Week 3.

Njoku missed time last week with the knee injury but seems good to go heading into preseason Week 3. Njoku is our number-nine TE coming into drafts this season.

David Njoku said that it was exciting to learn Odell Beckham would be on the Browns and that the receiver has proven to be a good fit in his first months with the team.

“Phenomenal, really,” Njoku said, via NJ.com. “He’s a great teammate and a great person. We all know what he brings to the table. He makes crazy plays and we’re excited to have him on the team. I actually knew him prior to him getting traded . . . same old dude.”

Njoku was in California working out with Beckham, quarterback Baker Mayfield and others recently. He said it was great to work on “timing and chemistry and ball placement” ahead of a season that sees high expectations attached to the Browns for the first time in decades. Beckham’s presence has something to do with that, but Njoku notes it is up to the entire team to “take advantage of this opportunity.”

Wide receiver Jarvis Landry shared pictures and video of him, Mayfield and other members of the Browns working out in California on his Instagram account. A full roster of the players in attendance is unknown, although wideout Rashard Higgins is in one of Landry’s pictures and tight end David Njoku has posted from the workouts as well.

It's not believed that Beckham is working out with the rest of the crew, although, as the story said, no one is really sure. Landry had an undisclosed injury in OTAs, so the two are likely trying to play catch up. The story added Landry is running without any obvious issues in the posted social media videos.
