Patriots acquire LeGarrette Blount

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a run at Jeff Demps last year after the London Olympics but had jumped in too late because he already had made a commitment to the New England Patriots.

Saturday, the Bucs got Demps in a swap of running backs, sending LeGarrette Blount to Foxborough in exchange for Demps and a seventh-round draft pick.

Fantasy Impact:

Blount will try to make the roster as a backup to Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen. This probably won't impact the value of either player, but stranger things have happened.

Teven Jenkins will be limited.

This is definitely a situation to keep an eye on, as Johnson would have a huge workload if Swift were to miss Week 12. Homer has three rush attempts and zero targets on the year.
