After listening to offers over the last week, the Broncos traded Emmanuel Sanders and a 2020 fifth-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers for a third- and fourth-round selection in next year’s draft.

The 49ers now have a number-one target. The 9ers haven't got much out of their WRs this year: Samuel 15-169-1, Pettis 9-83-1, Goodwin 11-181-1, so Sanders should at least maintain his fantasy value with a chance to increase it as he gets more familiar with the offense.

Meanwhile in Denver, Sutton remains the WR1 with Hamilton and Spencer moving up the depth chart.

Samuel and Goodwin were the starting WRs with Samuel leading the way with 60 snaps. But, Samuel only caught three passes for 17 yards and lost a fumble. He did catch a successful two-point conversation.

Pettis played into the third quarter of the team's last game and HC Mike Shananhan said afterward he wanted Pettis to earn a spot on the team. Inman's tweet added Pettis isn't surprised at his coach’s criticism, that they’re on same page, and that he needs to play with more urgency and “run routes deliberately with more purpose.” We have Pettis as the team's WR1

Shanahan kept Dante Pettis in the game late in KC because they still want him to "earn a role on the team."

Pettis is the top WR on our 49ers depth chart. The rookie played at a 64-989-11 pace (on a 99-target pace) over his final six games. He should be a full-time starter and enjoy a QB upgrade in his second season. He’s an intriguing breakout candidate typically available in the seventh round.

Beat writer Matt Barrows believes the first four receiver spots would go to "Dante Pettis, Deebo Samuel, Jalen Hurd, and Trent Taylor," and that would leave just "two spots for Marquise Goodwin, Jordan Matthews, Kendrick Bourne and Richie James" to compete over.

Barrows says that all the receivers competing for a spot have had good days, but of late it's Been Kendrick Bourne putting up the strongest work. Marquise Goodwin likely still has an in based on his work in the past, but he's not locked in, which means he shouldn't be locked into your draft day plans.
