Giants TE Larry Donnell (concussion, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 5. Will Tye should get the opportunity to play starter’s snaps against a shaky Green Bay pass defense. He caught four passes for 43 yards on six targets while playing 79% of the snaps (a season high) in Week 4, and that was against a tough Minnesota defense. Last year, Tye essentially took over as the Giants’ starter in Week 8, and was the #13 tight end in standard formats from that point on. From Week 9 to Week 17, he had the 10th-most targets at his position. The Giants didn’t have Sterling Shepard or Victor Cruz last year, but TE streamers could do a lot worse this week, assuming Donnell remains out.

Giants coach Ben McAdoo told reporters Sterling Shepard was limited Monday because of a groin injury, and tight end Larry Donnell left practice early to get hydrated. McAdoo also said he had a "nice conversation" with Victor Cruz and hopes to get Cruz on the field Wednesday in some capacity.

WR Sterling Shepard (groin): The second-round pick played against the Dolphins.

He said the injury was a minor thing from practice earlier in the week. McAdoo said Saturday they “didn’t think it’s serious.”

Shepard is expected to participate in individual drills on Sunday and the Giants will gauge the situation afterward.
