Fantasy Impact:

Seattle will be without their top two backs for a second consecutive week. Look for DeeJay Dallas to lead the backfield with Homer as the change of pace back.

Seahawks RB Chris Carson (foot, questionable) questionable for Week 8. Carlos Hyde (hamstring, doubtful) is doubtful. Travis Homer (knee, questionable) is questionable for Week 8. HC Pete Carroll is calling all three players "game-time" decisions. DeeJay Dallas (forearm) is the only one without an injury designation. Beat writer Joe Fann said this: "Carson is probably more of a coin flip while Homer should be good to go. Pre-game workouts will be the final determination for Carson, Homer and Hyde." Since Hyde is doubtful, he's the least likely to play, so Carson owners should try to scoop up Homer and/or Dallas to give themselves an option if Carson can't play. Hopefully we get more information by Sunday morning since the Seahawks play late in the day.

Fantasy Impact:

Carson playing would be a minor miracle after being deemed week-to-week earlier this week. Homer is expected to play based on comments from head coach Pete Carroll. One or both could see majority of the work this week if the other is out. DeeJay Dallas could also see a large chunk of work if the goal is to preserve either back.

Carroll also said that Travis Homer will play, so the worst case scenario is the Seahawks are short their top two backs. Homer and Dallas will have value as members of the offensive juggernaut that is Seattle. The 49ers are also short many of their best defensive players in Week 8.
