Lamar Jackson will always cap the ceiling of any running back associated with his offense, but the RB1 in Baltimore still has plenty of upside. It would seem that the Ravens are more than likely to return to their extreme run-heavy rate in 2022 after finishing 32nd and 27th in neutral pass rate over the 2019 and 2020 seasons. If Dobbins has a full, healthy season, he will be a steal in the fifth round of fantasy drafts.

Lions wide receiver Quintez Cephus needed assistance to leave the field on Tuesday after suffering an injury to his leg, but it should not be long before he’s able to rejoin the team at practice.

Head coach Dan Campbell told reporters on Wednesday that Cephus avoided a major injury and is expected to miss a “short period of time” this summer.

It's a potential tough break for Cephus who now faces what looks to be a crowded group of WRs in Detroit.

J.K. Dobbins looks eager & close to to return to practice.

Dobbins is on the PUP list but other reports say he was looking to get on the practice field today. It's a good sign his return could be sooner than later. Fantasy managers are rightfully excited about Dobbins, who is returning from a torn ACL. He’ll have a full year of recovery prior to Week 1, so he should be good to go. Dobbins will likely be the lead back but share work with Gus Edwards, and the Ravens aren’t known for utilizing their running backs in the passing game with much regularity. Dobbins is a very talented back, but his upside is capped as long as Lamar Jackson and/or Edwards remains healthy.

As Ravens open training camp this week, RB Gus Edwards (knee) is considered questionable for Week 1 (season opener at New York Jets).

There are a lot of questions around the Ravens RBs right now. Edwards is coming back from a torn ACL that he suffered in September and kept him out all of last season. The Ravens are hoping Dobbins (knee) will be back for the regular season. Baltimore signed Davis and Clement and drafted Badie. A lot will need to be sorted out before the regular season starts as far as the Baltimore backfield goes. Assuming their studs are healthy and ready to go, Baltimore is expected to be a run-heavy team in 2022.

Ravens HC John Harbaugh addressed reporters Thursday, and among the topics were the rehabs of RBs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards. Harbaugh told reporters it is too soon to tell if they will be ready for training camp, and therefore the season.

The Ravens have run with a loaded backfield for a while and the statuses of Dobbins and Edwards are leans to why Mike Davis was added to the RB room. Rookie Tyler Badie is also going to be in the mix early on as a Ravens draftee. Justice Hill will be a member of the Ravens forever at this point.

After recording zero catches his rookie season in Dallas, WR Simi Fehoko has spent the offseason in Dallas. He has spent time with Dak Prescott and feels he offers something that the WR room may lack due to offseason moves and injuries. "Being the bigger, taller and I guess heavier receiver to be able to have that blend of speed I feel like adding that with learning from the route runner from [Noah Brown] or CeeDee, I feel like it's only just going to get better," Fehoko said. "I feel like that is something I bring to the table."

"I ended up staying here and I was able to work with Dak a little bit through the offseason," Fehoko said. "It's been smooth for me just being able to deal with them and be here the whole offseason."

Fehoko has a leg-up on rookies such as Jalen Tolbert by being in the Cowboys system for a season, but if he wants to be irreplaceable he has to top players with higher draft capital (Tolbert) and force out veterans such as James Washington. Fehoko could be an intriguing dynasty player if his time in Dallas bares fruit.

RB Mike Davis is signing with the Baltimore Ravens. He was released by the Falcons last week.

The Ravens are once again doing their best to be a backfield you avoid. Sure, a few of these backs will be cut or not utilized but the idea of carrying a fistful of RBs on the roster that have NFL experience and success is frustrating.

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed WR Zach Pascal to a one-year deal.

The Pascal signing gives the Eagles a possession wideout that has had success, as well as competition for Jalen Reagor. Pascal is nothing more than a late-round dart throw short of an injury.

The Cincinnati Bengals are signing TE Hayden Hurt to a one-year deal.

Hurst lost targets and touches with Kyle Pitts' arrival in Atlanta. In Cincy, his top competition has done little and could never usurp C.J. Uzomah. Hurst appears to be a streamer option at this point in the NFL offseason.

The Detroit Lions are signing WR D.J. Chark to a one-year deal.

Chark will get the chance to prove he is healthy and worth a longer term deal and joins a Lions team that needed any/all receiver help with Amon-Ra St. Brown and Josh Reynolds as its top two wideouts.
