Texans QB C.J. Stroud in concussion protocol

Texans QB C.J. Stroud is in the league's concussion protocol.

Related players: Davis Mills

Fantasy Impact:

As Rapoport said, there's a real chance in a must-win game for the Texans, they may have to turn to Mills to start at QB. Stroud took a rough hit where the back of his head hit the turf. The good news is, it would be a favorable matchup against a Titans defense that can be vulnerable to the pass should Mills have to play, and you need his services. The trend this year has been players missing a week of action after entering protocol, but like Rapoport added, every player recovers differently. Obviously Stroud's status will need to be monitored this week. The Texans and Titans do play an early game on Sunday so Stroud owners will have some time to adjust, but there are also four games taking place before Sunday, so start making backup plans now.
