They gave Peyton Barber the bulk of touches, with Charles Sims III and Jacquizz Rodgers getting three carries apiece. Sims contributed two catches for 35 yards and Rodgers returned kickoffs. Had Doug Martin been in there, Barber wouldn't have gotten much work, except maybe in short-yardage situations. Instead, he was an every-down contributor and played a significant role in the screen game, logging 52 snaps.
While the story said you never want to see an injury, with Martin being out the Bucs may want to continue to see what Barber has. Martin last ran for 100 yards back on Nov. 29, 2015 the story said. Barber ran for 102 yards on 23 carries in Week 13, the first Buc back to do so this year.
