This isn't really a shock as the team indicated it was a possibility. Yates will take over the rest of the way at QB. Savage is a free agent and may not be back next year. We had a report today that Deshaun Watson's ACL rehab is going well and is clearly slated to be the starter, so the Texans may be in the market for a backup heading into 2018.

Per Bears head coach Matt Eberflus: Ryan Bates remains in the concussion protocol. Elijah Hicks (ankle) and D'Andre Swift (groin) won't practice.

Teven Jenkins will be limited.
