Primetime DFS Slate Breakdown: Week 13
Our Week 13 primetime slate brings us three teams with implied team totals of at least 24 points, a team that is averaging 66.7 pass plays per game, and the defending Super Bowl champion. There looks to be a lot of options and a few ways to leverage the field, so let's get to it.
Passing Games
Steelers
Ben Roethlisberger ($8,800 FD/$6,200 DK) and company have the highest implied team total which sits at 27.5 points and the team mentioned above that is averaging 66.7 pass plays per game is the Steelers. The Chargers do rank eighth in aFPA to quarterbacks, but the Steelers are averaging four touchdowns per game when at home. Antonio Brown ($8,800 FD/$8,300 DK) looks like he has taken a back seat to JuJu Smith-Schuster ($7,500 FD/$7,900 DK), but it is not true. Brown still commands 26 percent of the team's market share of targets and 39 percent of the team's air yards. JuJu has a 22 percent target share and a 24 percent market share of air yards. With Brown being more expensive and recency bias in JuJu's favor, Brown should come at a discount ownership-wise and he is in a great spot to be overweight on. Jesse James ($5,000 FD/$3,300 DK) and Vance McDonald ($5,500 FD/$3,700 DK) have the exact same amount of air yards, eight percent, but Vance slightly out-targets James with an 11 percent market share of the targets to James' seven percent. Vance is also averaging more routes run per game than James. With Ryan Switzer ($4,900 FD/$3,500 DK) only logging 17 percent of his team's snaps and running fewer routes than Vance McDonald so far in 2018, he should only be considered in large-field tournaments.
