After Brian Westbrook was injured during the 2009 season, Philadelphia fullback Leonard Weaver helped pick up the slack, and was used more than other fullbacks around the NFL. But with running back LeSean McCoy entering his second season and the acquisition of Mike Bell, Weaver's workload as a runner will drop. Weaver told philly.com that Bell and McCoy are going to be a "great duo" and while he might be used on occasion, they "are going to be the workhorses."
On the surface, Philadelphia might run the ball more as Kevin Kolb settles in as the starting quarterback. But Andy Reid has always put the passing game first, meaning McCoy will need to make the same impact as a receiver that Brian Westbrook did to be a fantasy star. He's currently at 28 in our rankings while Bell is 56 and Weaver checks in at 71. For those who draft quarterbacks and wide receivers in the early rounds, McCoy is not a bad guy to grab a little later. Bell and Weaver are nothing more than fantasy backups at this point, but Bell has proven to be useful in the past when he gets a chance.
