DraftKings Week 16 Slate Breakdown with Cash and GPP Picks

Below you'll find my Week 16 DraftKings cash game and tournament strategies. By offering a general approach to the week, along with a player pool to consider, you should walk away feeling well-equipped no matter your bankroll strategy or game selection process.

This week, more so than any other of the 2019 season, it will be pertinent to check back on Sunday morning for any meaningful updates. There is uncertainty surrounding the status and workload of several players. I will update this article to reflect any boost in playing time or usage that is expected as a result of things that have happened since the initial publishing of this article.

Additionally, there is more overlap in cash and tournament overweight plays this week as the injury-riddled league and matchups seem to dictate a tighter player pool, at least for players I'll have the most stock in.

Dion Lewis shoots up the ranks and you can feel semi comfortable with him in cash games, I still would rather DeAndre Washington
I'm not too concerned about weather in Miami, looks like the wind may be up, but not enough to worry about the offenses there.
I have elevated Philip Rivers and Matt Ryan in my GPP player pool. I like them both more than Ryan Tannehill, who could struggle without the threat of Derrick Henry behind him.

Main Slate Cash Game Strategy

Quarterback

Believe it or not, Ryan Fitzpatrick ($6,000) is the frontrunner for the value quarterback in this slate. He gets to face a bottom-five defense in terms of adjusted fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks in the 28th ranked Dolphins defense. He has quietly been fantastic as well. Over the last month, he has eclipsed 21.5 DraftKings points in three of four games. In that span, he has three of four games with multiple touchdown passes and has also been able to tack on a bunch of rushing yards in three games as well. Fitz raised his floor with at least 33 rushing yards in three of four games as well. DeVante Parker and Mike Gesicki have been playing well and the Bengals don't have the horses to match up with these two. They've been struggling to run the ball recently with Patrick Laird and Myles Gaskin, so Fitz will probably be leaned on again.
