With the top six running backs, in terms of touches per game, either off the main slate or questionable to play, the optimal build in cash games is to pay up for a premier quarterback in one of the higher-scoring games.
Lamar Jackson ($7,400) tops this week’s value report by a wide margin with a value score more than 50% higher than the number two quarterback value on the slate. He comes at a $900 discount to Patrick Mahomes ($8,300) who is a great stand-alone play but his salary prohibits the overall floor of cash lineups.
