Week 8 NFL Player Props: Vivid Picks
Our Week 7 plays didn’t go as planned. The Eagles absolutely milked the clock on the back of the brotherly shove, and Tua Tagovailoa simply wasn’t good enough to take advantage of an overrated Eagles secondary. Despite the lackluster performance, I couldn’t be more excited for Week 8. Vivid will once again be BOOSTING the plays in this article, so if you like my reasoning and want to tail, you are getting even more gravy on these plays when they win.
For those who are new, Vivid Picks is a simple fantasy sports game where you pick multiple players to go over or under their assigned line.
Even if you already bet or play other DFS-style pick-em games, Vivid Picks offers a few unique selling points:
- Using our code (4for4sub) gets you a $250 deposit bonus and $25 secured play. If you lose your first bet up to $25, you get $25 in promo funds to play again with.
- For every bet you get right, you automatically get 10% of your stake back in free plays. So if you bet $100 on a 5-leg play, and only win four of them, you still get $40 back in promo funds, which can be used on your next play.
- Users can boost each other's plays up to 0.5X if they all tail each other. Each person tailing your play boosts it 0.1x up to 0.5x total.

Week 8 NFL Player Props: Vivid Picks
Travis Etienne over 62.5 rushing yards
Etienne has seen massive workloads this season, averaging 18 carries per game. Despite that, he hasn’t seen gaudy production on the ground, but a lot of that had to do with the matchups. The Saints, Colts, Falcons, and Chiefs were all above average in run defense. He absolutely shredded Buffalo for 136 rushing yards and Houston for 88, two of the worst run defenses he has faced. Now, he draws the best matchup of the season against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers have been bad at defending the run in almost all scenarios and have only had marginal success against bad running teams. Despite facing some bad running teams, they are still allowing 4.65 yards per carry to opposing running backs.
So far this season, the Steelers have allowed 60+ rushing yards to 6 different running backs so far. That includes 152 rushing yards to Christian McCaffrey, 106 rushing yards to Jerome Ford, 81 to Dameon Pierce, 66 to Royce Freeman, 64 to Nick Chubb, 62 to Josh Jacobs, and 61 to Darrell Henderson. As favorites, the Jags should be able to run the ball plenty here and get Etienne well over his mark of 61 rushing yards.
P.J. Walker under 207.5 passing yards
Walker has fewer than 200 passing yards in both outings despite playing in negative game script in both spots. Now he draws the Seattle Seahawks as small underdogs. The Seahawks' pass defense doesn’t look good in terms of overall metrics, but had multiple injuries early in the season. Since getting back Tariq Woolen, Devon Witherspoon, and Jamaal Adams, they have yet to allow a quarterback to average more than 6 yards per attempt and have held 3 straight quarterbacks to less than 207.5 passing yards. It seems unlikely Walker is ready to break that streak.
Al Shaair over 10 tackles & assists
This was a recommendation from our FREE Vivid Picks Discord channel and user DOMO! We are out here making the tackle king himself, Ryan Noonan, proud. Shaair has 15 tackles for two consecutive weeks and now draws a great matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, who love to run the ball. Linebacker tackles tend to spike against run-heavy teams because they have more opportunities.
Puka Nacua over 79.5 receiving yards
This was another discord recommendation from Space Ghost Force! Since Cooper Kupp has returned, Puka Nacua actually still has a higher target share and has truly been crushing. He draws a tougher matchup this week against the man-heavy, blitz-heavy Cowboys. He should still see plenty of targets as this offense is funnelled through Cooper Kupp, Nacua, and that’s about it.
Zay Flowers over 54.5 receiving yards
Flowers continues to be the Ravens' top wideout and now draws a stellar matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals play extremely conservatively and have minimal talent in the secondary. The Cardinals have allowed 73.6% of all targets to wideouts to be completed and 9.7 yards per target. He also has more than 55 receiving yards in 5-of-7 games so far this season. Shoutout to and/or records from the discord for this one.
