O'Connell: Vikings WR Justin Jefferson (quad) 'feeling pretty good'

Kevin O’Connell said Justin Jefferson came in “feeling pretty good” on Monday after his quad contusion on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

Jefferson was limping around the sideline before heading back to the locker room Sunday, leaving owners to wonder if they would be without their star WR in fantasy lineups. But reports would eventually surface the injury wasn't that bad and Jefferson remains day to day. There seems to be a lot of optimism Jefferson will be able to suit up for Week 3, which is an early game against the Texans. His practice availability will be closely monitored this week.

Browns plan to sign free agent running back Royce Freeman to the practice squad.

Fantasy Impact:

Freeman did pretty well when he saw action with the Rams toward the end of last season. He was with Dallas this summer where he drew some hype, and for about a week the team had us convinced he may see significant action for the Cowboys. However, he was eventually released.

Packers place RB MarShawn Lloyd on IR

Packers are placing rookie RB MarShawn Lloyd on injured reserve due to an ankle injury.

Fantasy Impact:

Lloyd dealt with a hamstring injury leading up to the season and has now injured his ankle enough to be placed on IR, and he'll miss the next four games. The team did sign Brooks from their practice squad but Wilson looks to be the backup to Jacobs.
