Jay Glazer is reporting that the Seahawks have agreed to a five-year deal (worth $41 million) with WR Sidney Rice.
This is major news on the heels of the McNabb trade to Minnesota. The Seahawks get a very good young WR with a worrisome injury history, and his stock will take a hit as he changes offenses and QBs (to Tarvaris Jackson/Charlie Whitehurst...not good). This also hurts the value of Mike X Williams, who was shaping up to be a nice middle round sleeper this season.
Meanwhile, Percy Harvin will be the Vikings' WR1 barring something unforeseen. This means more targets, but not necessarily better targets. Rice's departure hurts Adrian Peterson a little, but McNabb's arrival surely offsets that.
