The Indianapolis Colts do not expect quarterback Matt Hasselbeck to practice Wednesday, but they are optimistic he’ll be “available” for Sunday’s pivotal AFC South game against the Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium.
“Yeah, I’m hopeful,” coach Chuck Pagano said. “He’s banged up, like a lot of the guys. He’s a warrior. He came back in that game after taking a few good licks. Matt is a tough guy and great competitor. I fully anticipate him being available for us.”
Pagano saying he thinks Hasselbeck will be “available.”
As the story says, it leaves the door slightly open that Andrew Luck could return Sunday. Luck has missed the past four games with a kidney and abdominal injury, but he could return to practice this week.
