Scouting report

CHI QB Caleb Williams - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 @ Minnesota Vikings
Over the last four weeks, Caleb Williams has looked far more serviceable as a fantasy option, averaging 240 yards and 1.75 touchdowns while adding 42.3 yards on the ground against some pretty good defenses. This week, he'll take on a Vikings defense that he dropped 26.9 points back in Week 12, which shows he's got a ceiling outcome against this team, though this matchup will come on the road.

Williams is a nice SuperFlex option in Week 15, but can likely be passed over in typical 1QB leagues.

CHI QB Caleb Williams - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 @ San Francisco 49ers
The offense (and Caleb Williams) has looked quite a bit better under Thomas Brown, and the quarterback's fantasy stat line has been bolstered by a 19-142-0 rushing line over the last three weeks. We have seen more 3WR sets which is obviously good, considering it's the strength of the team, so that helps pad Williams' floor a little bit as well. Regardless, he's still not a must-start option in any but the softest matchups; there should be some streaming options ahead of him in the pecking order.

CHI QB Caleb Williams - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 @ Detroit Lions
The offense (and Caleb Williams) has looked a fair bit better under Thomas Brown, and the quarterback's fantasy stat line has been bolstered by a 15-103-0 rushing line over the last two weeks. We have seen more 3WR sets which is obviously good, considering it's the strength of the team, so that helps pad Williams' floor a little bit as well. Regardless, he's still not a must-start option in any but the softest matchups, there should be some streaming options ahead of him in the pecking order.

CHI QB Caleb Williams - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Minnesota Vikings
The offense (and Caleb Williams) looked a fair bit better under Thomas Brown, and the quarterback's fantasy stat line was thankfully saved by his 9-70-0 rushing line in Week 11. We saw more 3WR sets last week, which is obviously good, considering it's the strength of the team, so that helps pad Williams' floor a little bit as well. Regardless, he's still not a must-start option in any but the softest matchups, there should be some streaming options ahead of him in the pecking order.

CHI QB Caleb Williams - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Green Bay Packers
What a disaster this has turned into. Caleb Williams has failed to reach 10 fantasy points in all three of his post-Bye games, averaging 4.92 YPA. Shane Waldron is gone and Thomas Brown will take over as OC, but it's hard to see how he's going to fix the offensive line via play-calling. Williams should be benched (or cut) in all formats.

CHI QB Caleb Williams - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. New England Patriots
Caleb Williams went into the bye week with his second straight 20+ point performance, though it's worth pointing out that they both came against defenses ranked in the bottom three of QB aFPA. In a more difficult matchup against a much-improved Commanders defense and a decent Cardinals team, he has completed a nearly unheard-of 49.2% of his passes while registering 5.30 yards per attempt. The offense feels disheveled just as often as it feels "league average", and Williams has far more difficult matchups now on the horizon. He should remain on benches (or waiver wires) in Week 10.

CHI QB Caleb Williams - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 @ Arizona Cardinals
Caleb Williams went into the bye week with his second straight 20+ point performance, though it's worth pointing out that they both came against defenses ranked in the bottom three of QB aFPA. In a more difficult matchup against a much-improved Commanders defense, he completed a nearly unheard-of 41.7% of his passes while registering 5.5 yards per attempt. The offense feels disheveled just as often as it feels "league average", but Williams has a chance to right the ship against a Cardinals team that ranks 25th in QB aFPA. He should be considered as a top-16 option in Week 9.
