Scouting report

PHI RB D'Andre Swift - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Miami Dolphins
D'Andre Swift didn't run the ball well with 18 rushing yards, but he made up for it with a eight receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown catch. Swift has been a fantasy stud since Week 1, so don't be discouraged by last week's rushing game against a good run defense.

Swift faces the Dolphins who are ranked 24th in aFPA to running backs. With the favorable matchup, we expect him to get the rushing numbers back up.

Start Smith as a solid RB1 for Week 7. Expect 18-20 touches and close to a total of 100 yards. Should be a big game for Swift.

PHI RB D'Andre Swift - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New York Jets
D'Andre Swift had 23 touches for 108 yards last week which included six receptions for you PPR managers. He continues to be the focus for the running game and has performed very well as a low-round fantasy selection.

Swift faces the Jets who have been vulnerable against the run at times this season. Expect Swift to get 18-20 touches this week with some good fantasy numbers.

Start Swift as a solid RB2 for Week 6. If he is your second running back, your backfield is in pretty good shape. Expect another good week for Swift.

PHI RB D'Andre Swift - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Los Angeles Rams
D'Andre Swift had 18 touches last week and has at least 17 every game since Week 1. He is definitely the workhorse for the Eagles and has had early-season success in the running game and had four catches last week to add to his resume.

Swift faces the Rams who are ranked third in aFPA to running backs. It will be the toughest test of the season for the Eagles run game so the carry total will be important for his fantasy numbers.

Swift rates as a low-end RB1 for Week 5 and will still bring in some good numbers. Expect around 90 rushing yards and some receiving yards in LA for him.

PHI RB D'Andre Swift - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Washington Commanders
D'Andre Swift recorded his second straight 100+ rushing yard game and he did it with less carries. He now has 305 yards the last two games after rushing for only five in the opener. He did lose some touches and snaps to Kenneth Gainwell, but still put up good fantasy numbers.

Swift faces the Commanders who are ranked 14th in aFPA to running backs. We expect him to remain the workhorse and the Eagles running game to keep moving the ball.

Start Swift as a low-end RB1 for Week 4. He has worked his way up the rankings and could be one of the fantasy steals of the 2023 drafts.

PHI RB D'Andre Swift - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
D'Andre Swift ran wild on Sunday and was a fantasy stud with 31 touches. He ended up 175 rushing yards and added three receptions. Swift only played 29% of the snaps Week 1 but went to 75% last Sunday. Part of that is Kenneth Gainwell being out which should be the case again.

Swift will face the Bucs who are ranked 7th in aFPA to running backs. We expect him to get 20+ touches again and be the primary back for the Eagles moving forward.

Start Swift as a high-end RB2 for Week 3. Don't expect the numbers you saw last week, but solid fantasy numbers overall.

PHI RB D'Andre Swift - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Minnesota Vikings
D'Andre Swift's homecoming wasn't a good one from a fantasy standpoint. He only played 29% of the snaps and had one carry for three yards and one reception for zero yards. Most of the action went to Kenneth Gainwell. It would be smart to watch the status of Gainwell who has a rib issue. If for some reason he can't play because of the injury on a short week, Swift's fantasy stock goes up.

If Gainwell plays, Swift should remain on the bench. The lack of touches could change week-to-week, but for now he remains a minimal player on the Eagles offense.

PHI RB D'Andre Swift - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at New England Patriots
The Eagles went out and go the Philly native D'Andre Swift who will be the No. 1 back on the depth chart but will not be the featured back as we can expect three running backs to share the load. Swift had success in Detroit and it will all come down to touches in this Eagles offense.

Swift should be in the neighborhood of 10-12 touches, but because we aren't certain how Philadelphia will utilize their backs, keep him on the bench for Week 1.
