PIT QB Justin Fields - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Las Vegas Raiders

While the matchup against the Raiders is solid for Justin Fields, he does have to deal with a shorter leash this week after a rough game in primetime against the Cowboys. The return of Russell Wilson after a full week of practice certainly doesn't help either. However, the comments from offensive coordinator Arthur Smith sounded quite positive about Fields.

The Raiders are 25th aFPA against quarterbacks and, putting aside all the concerns about Fields this week, this is a really solid matchup. Fields is clearly in the QB1 conversation this week as a back-end option. Coming in at QB9, he's a must-start this week.

PIT QB Justin Fields - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Dallas Cowboys

We nailed the ceiling game from Justin Fields last week and he could be in line for another as the Cowboys' defense has been a mess this year. Last week against the Colts, Fields didn't have a monster game on the ground but had 10 carries for 55 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also had a 300-yard passing game and he's looking rejuvenated in Pittsburgh.

Dallas is 18th aFPA against quarterbacks and a few weeks ago let Lamar Jackson have a nice day on the ground with 14 carries for 87 yards and a touchdown. He was also efficient through the air, but only attempted 15 passes. Fields is a high-end QB1 on the week and should be in the mix for QB1 overall this week. He's a must-start if you have him on your roster.

PIT QB Justin Fields - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Indianapolis Colts

We haven't seen the monster rushing upside from Justin Fields in Pittsburgh, but if there was a week we would see it, it could be against the Colts. Fields also had, by far, his best passing performance of the season against the Chargers last week. Fields was 25-for-32 for 245 yards and a touchdown and only had 6 rushing yards with a rushing touchdown.

It's nice to see this development from Fields and he has another chance to build off of that with a matchup against the Colts. Ranking 22nd aFPA against quarterbacks, we should continue to see a decent day through the air for Fields, but how he hits his ceiling is on the ground. The Colts allowed Malik Willis to go 6-41-0 on the ground, so this is lining up for a nice week for Fields. He's a high-end QB2, but he certainly has the upside to sneak into the top 12 quarterbacks this week.

PIT QB Justin Fields - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs Los Angeles Chargers

Justin Fields remains the starter heading into Week 3, although Russell Wilson is questionable this week. Regardless, Fields has the Steelers 2-0 and head coach Mike Tomlin makes it sound like Fields will remain the starter even when Wilson is fully healthy. A Saturday downgrade of RT Troy Fautanu doesn't help things.

Fields' rushing ability always keeps him on the fantasy radar even if he's been held in check just a bit so far as his season-high is 57 rushing yards. That said, he's one of the most explosive quarterbacks in the league and can break a big one at any point. He remains a QB2 this week and startable in Superflex and 2QB leagues.

PIT QB Justin Fields - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Denver Broncos

Coming off an unlikely win against the Falcons in the season opener, Justin Fields holds onto the starting spot in Pittsburgh as Russell Wilson is questionable, but was apparently not really contending to start the game over Fields.

The matchup against Denver isn't great as Patrick Surtain II essentially eliminates his portion of the field, but with Fields his greatest fantasy asset will remain his legs. There are some serious red flags with Fields and this offense, but in superflex he's an easy start, not so much in standard leagues where you should have had a better option originally.

CHI QB Justin Fields - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Atlanta Falcons

Justin Fields had a solid outing last week, throwing for 170 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He also added 97 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Since returning from injury in Week 11, Fields has been QB10 in average fantasy points through Week 16. He will look to continue his high level of production this week in a favorable matchup vs. the Falcons (22nd aFPA). Fields should be viewed as a top 10 option at QB in Week 17.

CHI QB Justin Fields - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Arizona Cardinals

Justin Fields struggled last week against a good Cleveland defense. He threw for just 166 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. And he only added 30 yards on the ground. He should be able to bounce back in Week 16 as he gets a much more favorable matchup against the Cardinals (22nd aFPA). Over the past four weeks, Arizona has given up the 6th-most average fantasy points to quarterbacks. Fields should be viewed as a top five option at his position this week.
