Russ will get the start against the Jets on Sunday night it looks like. Pittsburgh is 4-2 with Fields, but with Wilson’s calf now fully healed it looks like the team is going to make a change. This could mean a better news for the Pittsburgh WRs as Wilson should throw the ball more vs. Fields escaping the pocket and running.

Tomlin said Wilson can now work without restrictions and the team plans to do just that with Wilson. The story said, however, it doesn’t mean Wilson is ready to come in and be the starter, as Fields is still slated to take first-team practice snaps.

Other reports today have said Tomlin told reporters that Wilson will have a “strong work day” on Tuesday, and that Wilson’s practice participation will increase. Wilson, per Tomlin, likely will have a “live pocket,” according to the story.
