CHI QB Justin Fields - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Green Bay Packers

Justin Fields (shoulder) was inactive last week, but got in a full practice session on Thursday and appears trending towards being able to play in Week 13. Before his injury, Fields was on a streak as he's scored multiple touchdowns in five consecutive games (with 15 total), while averaging over 100 rush yards in that span. If he's able to play, Fields will face a Packers defense this week that he struggled against earlier in the year. In Week 2, Fields threw for 70 yards with no touchdowns, an interception and only had 20 rush yards. Fields will also be without his No. 1 target Darnell Mooney moving forward, which will impact Chicago's already poor passing attack. But given the Bears' offensive shift, Fields should still be viewed as a great option simply because of his rushing ability. He should be viewed as a top 10 QB if he's active in Week 13.

CHI QB Justin Fields - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at New York Jets

UPDATE: Justin Fields is "unlikely" to play in Week 12, according to The Athletic.

ORIGINAL: Justin Fields fell just shy of becoming the first QB in NFL history with three straight 100-yard rushing games as he had 85. It was still a great game for Fields, though, as he also threw for 153 yards and had two total touchdowns (one pass, one rush). Fields has scored multiple touchdowns in five consecutive games (with 15 total), while averaging over 100 rush yards in that span. Although in those five games, Fields faced a lot of favorable defenses. He gets a tougher task this week against the Jets (5th aFPA) so his ceiling is a bit capped. He's still a strong choice though given his recent hot streak. His health will be worth monitoring though as reports indicate he had a dislocated shoulder in his non-throwing arm. If he's active, we like fields as a top 10 option at QB. If he doesn't play, Trevor Siemian would start and he'd be a player to avoid.

CHI QB Justin Fields - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Atlanta Falcons

Justin Fields had yet another absurd game last week, rushing for 147 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns. Fields now has 555 rushing yards in his last five games, which is the most for a quarterback in any five-game span in NFL history. This monster run has elevated him to QB4 on the season, which is crazy considering he was QB31 after Week 4. He may not continue the pace from his past two games this week, but we expect another good game from Fields in Week 11 as he faces a favorable matchup against the Falcons, who have given up the 10th-most average fantasy points per game to QBs. Atlanta hasn't allowed many rush yards to quarterbacks, though, giving up just 89 yards on the ground to the position this season, which is second-fewest in the league. Still, given Fields' ridiculous hot streak, he should be viewed as a top five option at QB for Week 11.

CHI QB Justin Fields - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Detroit Lions

Not only has Justin Fields improved, but he's emerged as one of the best fantasy quarterbacks. Fields put up a historical performance last week as he ran 15 times for 178 yards, setting the NFL record for rushing yards by a QB in the regular season. He also scored four total touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) while throwing for 123 yards. The 178 yards is an obvious outlier, but Fields has been tearing it up as a runner, averaging nearly 80 yards per game since Week 3. He's also finally starting to find the end zone, rushing for a score in three straight games. His high level of production should continue this week as he faces a favorable Lions defense giving up the third-most average fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Even better, the Lions have given up the 5th-most total rushing yards to quarterbacks this season. It sounds a little weird to say given his slow start, but Fields is in must-start QB range for Week 10. He should be viewed as a top-five option.

CHI QB Justin Fields - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Miami Dolphins

Justin Fields had his best game of the season last week, finishing with a season-high three total touchdowns (two passing, one rushing). Fields only had 151 pass yards, but he had another strong game on the ground with 60 rush yards. Fields is averaging 53 yards per game on the ground, which is way above his 35 yards per game from his rookie season. His finishes in fantasy the past four weeks have been QB12, QB9, QB5 and QB5. Fields has emerged as a legit fantasy option, and he'll be a viable option in Week 9 as he faces a favorable Dolphins defense that's 7th in aFPA QBs. Miami has also given up the 5th-most rush yards to quarterbacks this season, so Fields should continue to see success on the ground. We wouldn't start Fields over a trusted option like Lamar Jackson or Patrick Mahomes, but he's a great streaming option in Week 9 where six teams have a bye week.

CHI QB Justin Fields - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Dallas Cowboys

Justin Fields is coming off his best game of the season. He threw for 179 yards and a touchdown with one interception, but he did most of his work as a runner. He carried the ball 14 times for 82 yards while also finding the end zone with his legs. Whether by decision or by necessity, the Bears have leaned more on Fields as a runner lately. In the past two games he's ran the ball 26 times for 170 yards. With his improved passing stats and high volume as a runner, Fields has actually become a viable fantasy QB after a very rough start. Although he'll be tested this week in a brutal matchup against the Cowboys. Dallas has given up the 4th-fewest aFPA to QBs this season. The Cowboys have allowed the 9th-most rushing yards to quarterbacks, so there is somewhat of a saving grace. Fields isn't the worst option this week, but it's not an enticing matchup. The Bears QB should be viewed around the QB15 range for Week 8.

CHI QB Justin Fields - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at New England Patriots

Justin Fields is starting to improve as a fantasy option. Last week he finished with 190 yards, one touchdown, and an interception as a passer. As a runner, he had 12 attempts for 88 yards. Fields has now had his two most productive games of the season in back-to-back weeks as the Bears' offense is somewhat coming together. Fields had a few opportunities for another touchdown as he missed a wide open tight end on one play, and then was literal inches away from a score at the end of the game. But while Fields has been improving, he could have some trouble this week as he gets a tough matchup against the Patriots. Fields is a bottom-10 QB option in Week 7.
