Week 4 vs. Seattle Seahawks
Trey Sermon go the start against the Packers on Sunday night with everyone else hurt, and he had mixed results. He had a couple of nice runs and scored a touchdown, but he ultimately averaged just 3.1 yards on 10 carries and was able to gain only three additional yards on a pair of receptions. He also had a pretty bad drop.
If Sermon starts again, he has RB2 upside against the Seahawks, who have really struggled defensively so far this season. They rank dead last in aFPA to opposing running backs, and gave up over 100 yards to Alexander Mattison last week after Derrick Henry abused them in Week 2. Watch the injury report carefully, however, as Elijah Mitchell will still likely be the guy if he can get healthy. Sermon has upside, but be ready with a backup play in case Mitchell is active.
