Streaming Quarterbacks: Week 13 Targets
Is it hard for anyone else to believe we’re twelve weeks through the NFL season? I mean, there are only five regular season weeks left! Fewer weeks left in the typical fantasy league. Time flies by, and with it come changes.
This season, we have seen QBs including Brandon Weeden, Brock Osweiler, and Blaine Gabbert start NFL games. How’s that for change? Two of those three have even looked good as starters. The QB position continues to be one of change, and the benefits of spending your early-round draft picks on other positions should have become clear. This week, let’s take a look at the surprising starters and some other names to find solid streaming options for this week.
Our streaming QBs continue to rank QB18 on a points-per-game basis, with nearly half their weekly performances putting them inside the top-ten.
Now, on to Week 13. As always, our primary focus will be on each quarterback’s fantasy points per attempt, because of how well that correlates with fantasy production, and on aFPA for the defenses they face.
Week 13 QB Streaming Targets
Jay Cutler (CHI) vs. San Francisco 49ers
Jay Cutler only put up moderate numbers in the Thanksgiving upset of the Packers, but this week he’ll play at home on ten days of rest. The 49ers are a favorable matchup for opposing QBs (#22 aFPA), and I fully expect Jay Cutler and the Bears to bounce back and throw well in this game. Cutler will be an even more appealing play if the week brings favorable injury news for some of his offensive weapons.
Cutler is available in 57% of Yahoo public leagues, and he is my optimal streamer of the week.
