Primetime DFS Slate Breakdown: Week 3
The Week 3 Primetime slate on FanDuels and DraftKings has two games on opposite ends of the spectrum. The Sunday Night game features what should be a close, high-scoring affair between the Rams and the Browns. However, the same can't be said for the Monday Night affair as it is a contest between the defensive-minded Chicago Bears and the lackluster Washington Redskins. Despite that, there will surely be plays to make from the latter game.
Let's break down the games and how we can find the edge that might get us at the top of the leaderboards.
Injuries
- David Njoku, CLE, TE - OUT
- Rashard Higgins, CLE, WR - Questionable
- Tyler Higbee, LAR, TE - OUT
- Trey Burton, CHI, TE - Questionable
- Jordan Reed, WAS, TE - Questionable
The key injury here, of course, is Njoku. While he hadn't seen a lot of balls thrown his way thus far this season, his absence makes the role of Jarvis Landry more prominent over the middle of the field. Demetrius Harris will get the start at TE, but he's a blocking TE with limited receiving skills so temper your expectations. However, the loss of Tyler Higbee for the Rams makes Gerald Everett a very viable value option as he should get the majority of the TE snaps instead of splitting them. Higgins status is worth monitoring - he's expected to play and is a good value, but if he doesn't go, bump up Ratley a notch or two in terms of potential targets.
.In the latter game, the two starting TE's are questionable. One is more doubtful than the other as no one expects Jordan Reed to play, while Burton appears to be in line to play after playing last week. Vernon Davis is the main beneficiary for the Redskins with Reed out, while if for some reason Burton doesn't go, Adam Shaheen would benefit (but I think we all remember the Week 1 Showdown slate where he was a huge dud).
