DraftKings Week 7 Slate Breakdown with Cash and GPP Picks
Below you'll find my Week 7 DraftKings cash game and tournament strategies. By offering a general approach to the week, along with a player pool to consider, you should walk away feeling well-equipped no matter your bankroll strategy or game selection process.
*Update*
There are two main pieces of news that will drive my cash game lineup choices. If David Johnson can't go due to his ankle, Chase Edmonds immediately vaults into lock status for me at a sub $5k price tag in a feature role in the Cardinals' offense.
Allen Lazard becomes a priority if either MVS or Geronimo Allison can't suit up. If neither of them are active he also becomes a lock button as Davante Adams has already been ruled out.
Latavius Murray deserves consideration this week as he will be the lead back in the Saints' offense. The Bears have been stout against all running backs excluding Josh Jacobs in London, the Saints are on the road with the third lowest implied team total. Realistically we're looking at 60-80 total yards and a few receptions. The touchdown variance will decide whether or not Murray pays off his price tag. I'd rank them Edmonds (if DJ sits), Josh Jacobs, Latavius Murray

Quarterback
Lamar Jackson ($6,800) comes in just below Russell Wilson as the top play in our DraftKings value metric. I'm going to side with Jackson in this game for ball control reasons. I love Russ as much as the next guy, but the Ravens have done a great job of limiting opposing offenses opportunities when they need to. We've seen sustained eight- and nine-minute drives that just don't allow opposing offenses to get on the field. Meanwhile, Jackson methodically marches his offense down the field racking up rushing and passing stats along the way. The Ravens have run nearly 80 plays a game through six games this season. In the last two, Jackson has really stepped up his rushing game, carrying the ball 33 times. Jackson is tacking on an insane ten fantasy points per game to his total with just his rushing stats. The Seahawks currently rank 23rd in aFPA to quarterbacks, not exactly the vaunted defense of years past. Jackson is a high-floor, high-ceiling play. You'll have to pay for that combination, but it's unlikely he completely busts.
