Daigle's Top NFL DFS Picks: Week 5
I begin my research for DFS tournaments every week by sifting through what our opponents are doing and engineering lineups backward from there.
These top plays, though viable for cash games (which will be noted throughout), are suggested specifically for tournaments and are weighted for ceiling projection, matchup, ownership, and value. I will include any thoughts on game theory within my reasoning for each player.
They are listed in order of descending price, not by my personal rankings

Quarterbacks
Jalen Hurts, Eagles ($8,100 DraftKings, $8,600 FanDuel)
Having confidence in Hurts and Philadelphia’s offense to go nuclear boils down to whether or not the Cardinals compete to the last whistle after being out-scored 59-23 in the first half this year, scoring no more than 10 points during the first two quarters of any contest. I personally have faith the Cardinals are live dogs (+5)—Philadelphia's defense has benefitted from playing pocket statues in Jared Goff, Kirk Cousins, Carson Wentz, and Trevor Lawrence to date—and thus believe double-stacking Hurts is the better approach in tournaments than double-stacking Josh Allen.
