WR: Jahan Dotson, Tutu Atwell
Colts owner Jim Irsay said Anthony Richardson will "probably" undergo season-ending shoulder surgery next week. At least we made some friends along the way.
With Khalil Herbert (high-ankle sprain) officially placed on injured reserve, the earliest he could return is Week 10, which is a short week on Thursday night against the Panthers. Assuming he's unable to be cleared by then, managers would have to endure a start/sit headache in his first game back in Week 11 against Detroit. Chicago also goes on bye in Week 13.
Breece Hall has handled 71.4% and 77.2% of New York's backfield touches the past two weeks. Dalvin Cook has totaled 10 touches in that span. He's closer to being unrosterable than playable.
The WR67 in PPR points per game, Jahan Dotson has earned a 15% target share in only one of his last five starts. He's unusable barring an injury to Terry McLaurin.
Tutu Atwell's 22.5% target share and 14.4 PPR per-week fantasy points in four starts without Cooper Kupp have declined to 9.7% and 6.4 points the past two games behind him.
Zach Ertz recorded a season-low 52% route participation against the Rams and ran just two more routes than teammate Trey McBride, who registered a season-high 48% route rate. It's a trend that favors McBride moving forward, making Ertz expendable ahead of time.
Tyler Higbee has averaged three targets (11.5% share) in his last two games with Cooper Kupp.
David Njoku's weekly target shares in any game without Dorian Thompson-Robinson: 10.3%, 10%, 12.9%, and 12.1%.
Dalton Schultz presumably led the Texans in targets the past two weeks because both Robert Woods (rib injury in Week 5) and Tank Dell (concussion) were injured. Dell is fully expected to return after the team's bye, making Schultz less of a priority to hold.
