Guillotine League Week 16 Waiver Wire and Best Starts

Getting to this point in the guillotine format is not an easy feat, so pat yourselves on the back, or wherever if you’re still alive. Three teams remain to battle it out for the next two weeks but the waiver process is different.

You are unable to add any players who were chopped last week or any other moving forward, but you can still add regular waiver guys to bolster your squad. With injuries still occurring each and every week, it’s a good idea to keep a few bucks if a league winner were to emerge.

For the next two weeks, this column will feature a section with some waiver players who could be advantageous to bid on, along with another featuring some good starts for the week since it’s getting difficult to distinguish amongst all the solid players now on our guillotine rosters.

Week 16 Wavier Adds

Jerome Ford, RB - Browns (.7% rostered)

If you have any FAAB left Jerome Ford is your guy. Nick Chubb suffered a broken foot and is out for the rest of the season, so Ford should resume the lead-back volume he had at the start of 2024. The 25-year-old has a favorable matchup this week against the Bengals who sit 25th in aFPA to opposing RBs.

Jalen McMillan, WR - Buccaneers (.4% rostered)

With three touchdowns in his last two contests, Jalen McMillan seems to finally be Tampa Bay’s true WR2. He and Mike Evans saw virtually the same snap and route run percentages last week, with McMillan just five targets behind Evans. The Cowboys are yielding the second-most in WR aFPA this season so McMillan could crack your guillotine lineup if you need him.

Isaac Guerendo, RB - 49ers (26.4% rostered)

The rookie overcame a foot injury and suited up last Thursday to post 75 combined yards on 20 touches. Miami isn’t the softest opponent but Isaac Guerendo’s floor is fairly solid as the clear lead back heading into Week 16.

Best Week 16 Matchups

I’m not including QBs or TEs since you are likely starting who you’re starting with little choice or variety there. All numbers in parentheses are schedule-adjusted fantasy points or aFPA against that position.
