Bengals Have Struggled on Defense
The Bengals' defense has been downright terrible all season long as they just can't seem to figure it out. Last week, the unit gave up over 500 yards of total offense against the Steelers in a 44-38 loss. The defense ranks 31st in points given up and 28th in total yards. It doesn't matter how good Joe Burrow has been (30 TD passes), you aren't going to win many football games if you can't stop the other team.
Bengals Favored on MNF
The Bengals find themselves as the favorite (-5.5) tonight in a game they cannot lose. We have been saying this for weeks but the Bengals just keep losing games they have to win. Now, they are 4-8 and have about as close to a 100% chance of missing the playoffs as possible. Even if Cincinnati rips off 5 straight wins to get to 9-8, they need a lot of help as teams in the Wild Card race like the Broncos, Ravens, and Chargers already have 8 wins on the season.
Chase vs Lamb on Monday Night
We have a fun matchup of top wide receivers tonight as Ja'Marr Chase and CeeDee Lamb will be in the spotlight. Chase has been enjoying the best season of his career as he has caught a league-leading 13 touchdowns this year. Lamb hasn't enjoyed the same success we saw from him a year ago but is still on pace for almost 1,300 receiving yards. The injury to Dak Prescott has not helped plus the nonexistent running game for most of the season has helped defenses key on Lamb to shut him down.
