Lions’ WR Amon-Ra St. Brown has been ruled out for Sunday’s game vs. Seattle.

The Lions are now missing their two biggest offensive pieces in St. Brown and D'Andre Swift. The passing game could very well run through tight end T.J. Hockenson but things don't look positive for Detroit's offense as a whole for Week 4.

For a second straight day, Lions’ WR Amon-Ra St. Brown did not practice due to an ankle injury.

Although St. Brown's absence would theoretically open up opportunities for other pass catchers, he has solidified himself as a true WR1 and it would be a detriment to the offense as a whole if he were to miss Week 4. If Amon-Ra is on the field, he is a top-10 fantasy option.

The speedy free agent acquisition, D.J. Chark, has emerged as a dynamic force on the outside of the Lions offense. Chark is consistently getting open down the field and has developed a quick chemistry with QB Jared Goff.

Chark’s ability to make catches away from his body and adjust to the ball in the air have proven special throughout camp, the story said. The Lions desperately needed upgrades at wide receiver and Chark has proven to be a shrewd investment so far. Even when first-round rookie Williams gets onto the field later this year, Chark has proven he deserves a big role in the more aggressive Lions offense, the story went on to say.

Lions wide receiver Quintez Cephus needed assistance to leave the field on Tuesday after suffering an injury to his leg, but it should not be long before he’s able to rejoin the team at practice.

Head coach Dan Campbell told reporters on Wednesday that Cephus avoided a major injury and is expected to miss a “short period of time” this summer.

It's a potential tough break for Cephus who now faces what looks to be a crowded group of WRs in Detroit.

The Detroit Lions are signing WR D.J. Chark to a one-year deal.

Chark will get the chance to prove he is healthy and worth a longer term deal and joins a Lions team that needed any/all receiver help with Amon-Ra St. Brown and Josh Reynolds as its top two wideouts.

Jaguars’ HC Urban Meyer said WR D.J. Chark will be out the rest of the season with the fractured ankle he recently suffered.

It's a huge loss for the Jags and QB Trevor Lawrence. Jones looks like he'll be the WR1 going forward. Shenault has had mixed results with Chark out of the lineup so far. Agnew and Austin will look to battle for WR3 snaps, which could have significance as the Jags are expected to play from behind a lot the rest of the season.

D.J. Chark (ankle) will be placed on IR on Monday, John Shipley of SI.com reports.

Chark fractured his ankle against the Bengals during Thursday night of Week 4. He'll be out for the season, leaving the Jags top targets as Jones and Shenault. QB Trevor Lawrence could look toward newly-acquired TE Arnold more as well. Johnson and Agnew are next up at the WR position.

Looks like WR D.J. Chark is back 100 percent from broken finger. Urban Meyer praised his catching and overall effort in practice Monday.

Chark underwent surgery for a hairline fracture in his finger in early August. He was expected to be ready to go Week 1 and that looks to be the case.

The good news for the Jags is Chark was seen at practice with a helmet. As Shipley said, it would be a big return to an offense that missed his speed.

Laquon Treadwell has been among the Jaguars' most-consistent wide receivers thus far in camp. Every day walking off the practice field there has been talk of a Treadwell catch or touchdown that got fans and his teammates cheering.

Treadwell, a first-round selection by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2016 NFL Draft, had a standout collegiate career at the University of Mississippi – but was not as productive as he wanted in four seasons in Minnesota and last season with the Atlanta Falcons. At best, he could end up as the team's WR4 heading into the season, which means he'd be a possible injury away from significant time. It will need more time to sort itself out, but Treadwell is perhaps a name to keep in mind.
