Neither Michael Vick nor Plaxico Burress know when they'll be stepping on a football field again, but both will meet with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell before they do.
And the commissioner was tight-lipped yesterday about when those meetings would occur and what their outcomes might be.
"The process is ongoing, and I hope to make a decision sometime in the near future," Goodell said regarding Vick's status after the former Falcons quarterback ended his 23-month federal prison sentence Monday for his involvement in a dog-fighting ring.
"I've been involved. I expect to meet with him."
Goodell added he doesn't know when that would happen. He has previously said that Vick needed to show "genuine remorse" in order to be reinstated.
