The Buffalo Bills won't decide on their starting quarterback for Sunday's season finale at Ralph Wilson Stadium against the Indianapolis Colts until they see how Ryan Fitzpatrick is able to practice on Wednesday.
"Fitzpatrick is still day to day," said interim head coach Perry Fewell on Monday. "We expect him to practice on Wednesday, but we'll just have to see him."
Fitzpatrick worked out before Sunday's 31-3 loss to the Falcons in Atlanta, but the Bills decided against using him in the game.
"Fitz was close Sunday, but just couldn't protect himself with turns and things like that," said Fewell. "He has until Wednesday and we think he'll be better on Wednesday. We just have to see him practice."
Brian Brohm made his first NFL start in Sunday's loss and probably would start again if Fitzpatrick is not ready.
