Six-foot-six Saints rookie tight end Jimmy Graham, who played four years of college basketball at the University of Miami, has made a good impression during this weekend's rookie camp.
"If you were just watching he's a been a guy who has stood out," New Orleans head coach Sean Payton said. "He has things to learn but he's willing to do that and he's smart."
Graham played one year of college football at Miami, and according to the Times-Picayune, is "considered an unpolished gem by many draft analysts and general managers."
Jeremy Shockey has never played 16 games in a season and turns 30 in August, so Graham could be a player to watch for the future. He'll have to fight Shockey and Dave Thomas for playing time in 2010, but there is long-term upside with Graham if he can fulfill his early promise.
