Jaguars Beat: WR Donte Moncrief has to step up

Donte Moncrief is the most experienced (152 catches in 53 games) and among oldest (25) receivers on the roster. The Jaguars signed him to a one-year, prove-it contract to help provide some veteran leadership along with Marqise Lee after Allen Robinson departed in free agency.

With Lee gone, that responsibility is all on Moncrief. He has to be the player the rest of the receivers -- who have appeared in a combined 45 games -- lean on.

Fantasy Impact:

HC Doug Marrone said the group of WRs has to step up, but the writer feels it has to be Moncrief that leads the way. But Moncrief has missed 11 games over his last two seasons because of injuries. The story said there were times when his effort and attitude were also called into question, which caused the Colts to give up on him.
